Pushpa2 – Who took the decision to replace Devi Sri Prasad?

Published by

We at Gulte a few days back exclusively broke the new about Devi Sri Prasad getting replaced with another hotshot music director to score background music for the most awaited sequel, Pushpa2: The Rule that is scheduled to release in theatres on 05th December 2024 worldwide. Whose decision was it to replace Devi Sri Prasad with S S Thaman? Was it Allu Arjun’s or Sukumar’s or the producers’?

Since his debut, Sukumar has been working only with Devi Sri Prasad for all his films. Many chartbuster songs came out in their combination and are still ruling the playlists of many people across the globe. And, DSP scored thumping background music for all the films of Sukumar in the past. It is hard to imagine a Sukmar’s film without the background score of DSP. But tight schedules and tough times calls for though decisions.

The decision to replace is not particular to the hero or director or the producers. We heard It was a collective decision by Hero Allu Arjun, Director Sukumar and all the key stakeholders from the team to replace DSP with Thaman to score background music for the film, keeping the tight deadlines in mind. It is said that DSP was unable to meet the deadlines because of his other commitments and the team has no other choice than replacing him with Thaman to have the film ready to release as per schedule.

The film still have all the songs composed by DSP. Two of the songs that released a few months back were huge hits and the team is getting ready to release the remaining songs soon including the much awaited trademark Sukumar’s special item number in which Sreeleela is set to dance along with Allu Arjun.
