Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is currently busy with the promotions of Gamechanger as well as the commencement of RC16. Meanwhile, he was spotted at the Kadapa Dargah in Ayyappa Mala. On the promise made to music composer AR Rahman, Ram Charan attended the National Mushaira Ghazal event at Dargah. Many people pointed out that Ram Charan should have avoided the event, especially, at a time when he is on Ayyappa Deeksha.
However, Charan’s wife Upasana defended Charan’s visit to Dargah. Sharing a picture of Charan’s visit to Dargah, Upasana wrote, “Faith unites, never divides. As Indians, we honor all paths to the divine 🙏 our strength lies in unity. 🇮🇳 #OneNationOneSpirit #jaihind @AlwaysRamCharan respecting other religions while following his own.”
There was a lot of fuss especially from Hindi community and Ayyappa devotees that Charan should have picked another time for the Dargah visit. Even reacting to Upasana’s post, many contradicted her statement that respecting other religions does not mean that Charan can visit Dargah in Ayyappa Mala. For the same, Upasana gave a reply.
“Ma’am respecting other religions doesn’t mean you go to their dargah in Ayyappa Mala. We can respect their religion by not insulting their faith and respect what they do without interfering in our religion !” asked a netizen, to which, Upasana replied with a link.
Upasana shared the story of Vavar mosque which stands as the symbol of the harmony between Hindus and Muslims. The Ayyappa Swamy devotees usually pay their respects before commencing their pilgrimage to Sabarimala.
On the work front, Ram Charan’s next film with Buchi Babu will commence from day after tomorrow in Mysore.
