The news about AR Rahman and his wife Saira Bhanu are separating sent shocking waves in the film industry. The subsequent turn out of events involving Rahman’s bassist Mohini Dey’s divorce also resulted in speculations that there is connection between the two. Despite Rahman’s legal notice to slanders and Saira Bhanu’s request to stop the speculations on Rahman, a few continued.
In this context, Mohini Dey shared a clarification on social media, expressing her dissatisfaction. In her post, Mohini firmly denied any connection between the two.
Mohini addressed the issue in an Instagram video, saying, “It’s disheartening to see how the media has sensationalized two unrelated events. AR Rahman is like a father to me, and I deeply respect the 8.5 years I’ve worked with him. Media should be sensitive and respect our privacy.”
“I have many role models & father figures in life that have played vital roles in my career and upbringing. I cherish and treasure that and will always do! Media/Paps do not understand the affect it has on people’s minds and lives. Be sensitive. I dont owe anyone any explanations but also, I dont want this to brew and interrupt my day so, Kindly stop with the false claims & Respect our privacy,” she wrote.
AR Rahman is currently busy with multiple projects while Saira Bhanu is undergoing treatment for ill health in Mumbai.
