Pushpa 2 Fate Hits Again At DSP!

Published by

The biggest controversy in the film industry in the recent times is about the background score of Pushpa 2. The speculations are rife that three other composers are working for the film’s BGM apart from Devi Sri Prasad. DSP also indirectly expressed his frustration at the film’s promotional event in Chennai. In this row, DSP’s involvement for Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly has taken the center stage.

Devi Sri Prasad had been associated with the Tamil film Good Bad Ugly, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Mark Antony fame Adhik Ravichandran. This crime-comedy drama is slated for a Sankranthi 2025 release. However, recent reports claimed that Devi Sri Prasad would not be composing the background music for the film and that GV Prakash Kumar had taken over the task.

Though there was no official announcement, the news is trending on social media. The situation became clearer when GV Prakash responded to a fan’s comment on his X handle. He posted fire emojis, indirectly confirming his involvement in scoring the BGM for Good Bad Ugly.

This means Devi Sri Prasad has stepped away from his second project under Mythri Movie Makers. While some speculate that time constraints due to Pushpa 2 might be the reason for Devi’s exit, others find it puzzling, given that Ajith’s film, unlike Pushpa 2, is not under immediate time pressure.

Unlike other composers like Anirudh and Thaman, who manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, Devi Sri Prasad is known for working on fewer assignments at a time. Despite this, his limited involvement in Good Bad Ugly remains unexplained.

Interestingly, the producers have already clarified that there are no disputes with Devi Sri Prasad, and they plan to collaborate in the future. Only DSP has to officially share what’s happening around his career and if it is Good or Bad or Ugly.
