The release of Pushpa 2: The Rule created a nationwide frenzy. Among the numerous celebrations, the festivities at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad’s RTC Cross Roads stood out. Allu Arjun himself made a surprise visit to the Sandhya Theater to watch the premiere with his fans. The news brought in a lot of fans to the theatre resulting in a stampede and death of a woman.
Revati (39), a resident of Dilshuknagar came along with her husband Bhaskar and two children Tej (9), Sanvi (7) to Sandhya 70mm theatre at RTC Roads to watch Pushpa 2 premiere show. Owing to the chaos, Revathi fell unconscious and was shifted to Durgabhai Deshmukh Hospital. She passed away while her children are under medical observation.
The overwhelming crowd became uncontrollable and It then resulted in the stampede. The injured are immediately rushed to the hospital, and we hear that more people are injured during the lathi charge.
The movie unit or the theatre management is yet to give a statement on the same. More details are awaited.
