Back when YCP was in power, it was a common practice for agenda films to be released ever so frequently. The likes of Kamma Rajyam lo Kadapa Reddlu, Lakshmi’s NTR, Vyuham, and others are examples of the same. Even mainstream films like Yatra 2 were made in this tenure.
Shockingly, it is now being reported by TV5 Media that a few of these films had the firm backing of the YS Jagan government back in the day.
According to the media report presented by TV5, the government of Andhra Pradesh, during Jagan’s time as the CM of the state spent crores on these films. Reportedly, the AP Fibernet department transferred Rs 1.10 crore to a private company for the making of Vyuham.
Another Rs 1 crore was diverted for Yatra 2 from the AP Digital Corporation department. On top of that, a mainstream hero was given Rs 50 lakh from the government accounts for one such agenda film made during the YCP tenure, it seems according to the report.
Not stopping there, the government reportedly spent Rs 2 crore on making 60 short films. However, the digital copies of these 60 short films aren’t to be found, but the money has been deducted from the state exchequer.
