Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has yet again proved he has zero-tolerance against crime.
In a fresh statement, he suggested that every school should have CCTV cameras for the safety of the girl students.
These cameras not only aid safety of the girl students, they also help in prevention of crime.
Recalling the death of Sugali Preethi Bai, a 14-year-old studying SSC at Cattamanchi Ramalinga Reddy High School on the outskirts of Kurnool city, the Deputy CM said that a probe has been initiated into the suicide after the TDP coalition government came to power.
Preethi hanged herself to death from the ceiling fan in the hostel.
Her body bore wounds on her legs and hands but the school management tried to project that it was a suicide.
Pawan Kalyan said that even Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was contemplating installation of CCTV cameras on school premises.
The Deputy CM’s idea is really appreciable indeed. CCTV cameras will help bring in discipline among the students, even in the absence of a warden or teacher.
If the proposal becomes a reality, it would help in checking crime against girl students on the premises of schools. This initiative would win an applause from the public, if put into action.
