Akhanda 2: Here’s The Story Behind Change Of Producers

Akhanda is a mighty important film for Nandamuri Balakrishna as it gave him the much needed boost at the box office when he needed it the most. After Akhanda, there has been no looking back for Balayya as he has been delivering quality films consistently.

Now, the stage is set for Akhanda 2. But there’s a point to be noted here as certain cosmetic changes are made to the sequel at the production level.

Miryala Ravinder Reddy who produced the first part is not associated with the second part. Instead, 14 Reels Plus are producing the sequel with Balayya’s daughter Tejaswini presenting the film. Here’s an inside look at the transition between the production houses.

While the natural expectation is that Ravinder Reddy who produced the super successful first part would be backing the second part, certain logistical development came into play here. 14 Reels Plus had already secured the dates of Balayya and this prompted them to take up Akhanda 2.

The hearsay is that Balayya was open to the idea of the change of producers and the whole process was completed quickly and efficiently. Same was the case with director Boyapati Srinu as well, which streamlined the whole process.

It is understood that the transition was a smooth and amicable one. 14 Reels Plus and Tejaswani reportedly handled the matter with panache and secured the title and content rights from Miryala Ravinder Reddy after fully sorting the financial matters.

Everyone involved in the process is said to be happy as it was expertly handled and executed. Now, the makers are preparing to drop a new update on the film at 5:31 PM today. Needless to say, Akhanda is going to be another crazy outing from Balayya-Boyapati and particularly so, due to the sequel advantage and the combination factor.
