Google Trends has released the list of the most searched Indian movies of the year, and Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor, has secured the top spot. This horror-comedy film earned over ₹700 crore at the box office, making it the most searched film.
Following closely behind are Kalki 2898 AD, 12th Fail, Lapata Ladies, Hanuman, Maharaja, Manjumal Boys, GOAT, Salaar, and Avesham, all of which made it to the Top 10.
Kalki 2898 AD, which features actors from both Tollywood and Bollywood, including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani, secured the second position.
12th Fail, a low-budget film that went on to achieve massive box office success, claimed the third spot. India’s official entry for the Oscars this year, Lapata Ladies, earned the fourth position.
Young actor Teja Sajja’s Hanuman grabbed the fifth spot, while the Tamil blockbuster Maharaja, starring Vijay Sethupathi, placed sixth.
The Malayalam film Manjumal Boys came in seventh, followed by Goat, starring Vijay, in the eighth position. Prabhas’ Salaar earned the ninth spot, and Fahadh Faasil’s Avesham rounded out the Top 10 at number ten.
