Allu Arjun’s Arrest & Release: Decoding Multiple Perspectives

On the night of the 4th of December, a woman named Revathi, who came to watch Pushpa 2 premiere at the Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad, died due to the stampede that happened after the film’s lead, Allu Arjun, arrived to watch the film on the same premises. The police registered multiple cases against Allu Arjun, the theatre management, and other individuals responsible. In a shocking development, Allu Arjun was arrested yesterday morning and was released on interim bail this morning.

The media, public representatives, politicians, police officials, chief minister, film industry, fans, and the common public have several perspectives surrounding this high drama that unfolded in a span of a day.

Police POV
The police officials present over there on the day of the incident felt that Allu Arjun’s arrival was unexpected. We are unsure if proper permission was taken beforehand or if proper intimation had been made, but the police had very little time to control the crowd. By the time they could do anything, the unfortunate incident had occurred. Hence, they arrested Allu Arjun, showing that his presence had caused the unrest, leading to a tragedy.

Legal POV

Allu Arjun’s advocate, Niranjan Reddy, argued the case well against the state and successfully got the interim Bail for the actor. However, from the legal standpoint, the theatre management requested permission, and prior intimation was also given. The legal argued that the tragedy occurred because of the inefficiency of the police officials. Niranjan Reddy even mentioned, “Allu Arjun was on the first floor, and the tragedy occurred on the ground floor, where the police were not present. Even the police went to the first floor to see Allu Arjun. They came down only after they came to know about the incident.”

Chief Minister’s POV

The chief minister holds the Home Ministry, and he confirmed being aware of all the developments related to the case. Revanth Reddy claimed that Allu Arjun arrived at the theatre and waved at the people, leading to a stampede. “Our government was concerned about the ‘crime,’ irrespective of whether a film actor or political actor was involved,” he stressed. According to what he says, the government thinks that the tragedy happened solely because of Allu Arjun. It has become controversial.

Opposition’s POV

Soon after Allu Arjun was arrested, the politicians made no delay in addressing the issue and extending their support to the film industry. Politicians like Bandi Sanjay, KTR, Raja Singh, Harish Rao, and others openly criticized Revanth Reddy, saying that Allu Arjun was not responsible for the tragedy. They collectively claimed that Revanth Reddy must be arrested as people died in one of his earlier rallies. They also criticized that the government is not acting seriously on corrupted leaders, murderers, and those who commit heinous crimes. The opposition is making full use of this situation and are in support of Allu Arjun.

Fans’ POV

The fans feel that the arrest of Allu Arjun is uncalled for. Although they feel fully sorry for what happened, they also think that Allu Arjun is not directly responsible for whatever has happened. They think that the government is intentionally doing this and a conspiracy exists behind his arrest.

Media’s POV

In the beginning, the Media also displayed excitement and enthusiasm when Allu Arjun was arrested, but as the day passed by, the media also came to an opinion that Allu Arjun alone was not responsible for the tragedy and he had no direct connection to it. The media thinks that the government should actually focus on acting on other cases with the same level of seriousness. The media is also standing with Alu Arjun, especially with how the police dealt with Allu Arjun while arresting him.

Film Industry POV

This is the most tricky part. The film industry can neither bluntly open up nor indirectly react to the developments. However, people like Nani tried to sum up their state of mind cleverly by saying that everyone is responsible for it and no one person can be blamed. In general, the film industry seems to be extremely upset with the government. However, they are not in a position to express the same publicly. The industry personalities think that the government acted harshly by arresting improperly, denying Bail, and delaying releasing Allu Arjun.
