‘I’m Happy That Aamir Khan Liked Our Movie’

Upendra is a name that resonates not only with Kannada audiences but also with Telugu movie buffs. In addition to playing the lead role, he also directed his upcoming film UI: The Movie, set for a theatrical release on December 20th.

Upendra expresses his happiness over Aamir Khan’s appreciation of his film. “Aamir Khan is a huge star, and I’m really happy that he liked our movie. It speaks volumes about his greatness. His words about the film have helped us a lot,” Upendra says.

His character in the movie is unique, and he reveals the extensive effort that went into creating the look. “There’s a huge process behind the character’s appearance. While the script takes about a year to develop, designing the look and character takes another year,” he explains.

The world created for the film looks stunning in the promos. “Art director Shivakumar created a surreal world for the movie. He designed sets that are very different and might seem odd at first. But once you decode them, their meaning becomes clear,” Upendra shares.

He also reveals that the movie has a sharp runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes and was approved by the censor board without any cuts recommended.
