It Is Humiliating & Feels Like Character Assassination: Allu Arjun

The stampede tragedy at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad is still trending in the media. Today, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy made some sensational comments in the Assembly about what happened that day at the theatre. Revanth revealed that Allu Arjun did not intend to leave the theatre despite being informed about the death of Revathi. In this context, Allu Arjun called for a press meet today at his residence.

“It is definitely an unfortunate accident, and no one is at fault. We should look at this as an accident only. All of us had positive intentions that day, but unexpectedly, the unfortunate accident took place without anyone’s control over it,” he said.

“I heartfully extend my condolences to the deceased family. My life ambition is always to entertain the audience. And I cannot be happy when I encounter an accident like this,” said Allu Arjun.

“I am getting hourly updates on Sri Tej’s health condition. He is on the path to recovery, and I am happy about it. I am not blaming anyone but calling for a press meeting today to state the facts. I feel like there is a miscommunication, and I address everyone to clear up the misinformation surrounding whatever has happened,” shared Allu Arjun about Sritej.

“I feel like it is humiliating and it is like a character assassination on me,” stated Allu Arjun.

“I have not watched my film in the theatre yet. In a time like this, I am restricting myself to my home. I made a film intending to take Telugu cinema to the next level. But, I did not like the allegations against me. I am not blaming everyone, but I would like to give clarity,” said Allu Arjun.

“It is false that I have reached the theatre irresponsibly. It is also false that I arrived at the theatre without permission. There is a false allegation against me that I organized a road show. My car just got stopped in that crowd. I just waved my hands, intending that the crowd would get cleared. When I arrived at the theatre, the police themselves started clearing the crowd, through which I understood that the permission had been sorted,” said Allu Arjun.

Allu Arjun claimed that no police officer had approached me with any information. The theatre management came to me and asked me to leave the theatre, saying there was overcrowding. “Only the next day did I come to know about the demise of a woman. I had no idea that this unfortunate accident happened. It is false that I denied leaving the theatre despite being informed about the death of the woman,” said Allu Arjun.

“I also requested Bunny Vasu to reach the hospital and check the situation. I was ready to reach the hospital and meet them also, but my legal team strictly ordered me not to meet the deceased family. That is the only reason why I had not met their family members. So, I shared a video immediately, reacting to the situation,” said Allu Arjun.

“It’s not about the money. I put up a video to support them, and I am constantly in touch with the family. I am deeply upset with the allegations of character assassination on me. I am genuinely at a low point. But I can not accept these allegations,” said Allu Arjun.

“Sukumar Garu, the producers of Pushpa, and I plan to pool some money and make a fixed deposit in Sri Tej’s name. But despite all that, it is publicly humiliating for me when I am on the path to elevate the pride of Telugu cinema at the national level,” said Allu Arjun.
