Highly important meeting between the representatives of Telugu film industry and Telangana Government happened. As revealed by leading producer, Dil Raju, 36 members of the Tollywood fraternity met with chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, and a couple of his cabinet ministers.
This is one of the most significant developments pertaining to Tollywood in recent times. However, it appears that not everyone is pleased with the series of events.
Former actress Poonam Kaur, who has attention grabbing takes on many topics is at it again. She questioned why no woman was taken to meet the chief minister and discuss the hardships pertaining to the film industry.
“No women was considered important enough to be taken for a meeting with CM , women have absolutely no issues , industry stands up when a hero has a issue or trade matters , no women has issue – none can have one” Poonam tweeted indirectly in the aforementioned context.
She satirically conveyed that the film industry always stands up when a hero has an issue or something affects the trade but there’s no reception when a woman has an issue. She appears to be addressing the hardships sustained by female workforce in the industry.
While Poonam certainly has a valid point to make here, the more conventional approach here could be to directly approach the concerned Tollywood authority or the government body with the appeal.
