If there is any music director today from the current generation who matches up to the craze of AR Rahman, it is undoubtedly Anirudh Ravichander. How Rahman worked with the stars of the previous generation and created a fan base for himself, Anirudh is doing the same today. Interestingly, at a recent event, Rahman dropped friendly advice to Anirudh. Usually, Rahman never shows such initiation, but this time, he surprised everyone.
Rahman was at the audio launch of his next film Kadhalikka Neramillai, starring Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen. The event also saw the attendance of Anirudh Ravichander, Myskin, Mari Selvaraj and others.
While delivering his speech, Rahman praised Anirudh for consistently delivering exceptional music in big-star films, acknowledging the energy and creativity he brings to his compositions. At the same time, he dropped friendly advice to work more on classical and raga-based music.
“While your music is phenomenal and resonates with the masses, I encourage you to explore more classical and raga-based compositions. These forms have deeper longevity and cultural significance. By embracing them, you will enrich your music and inspire and educate the next generation,” Rahman suggested Anirudh.
Anirudh Ravichander is currently working on Vidaamuyarchi, Magic, Coolie, VD12 and others.
