The iconic Hollywood sign is reportedly on fire as it blazes across Los Angeles. The intense wildfire is already creating havoc. So, the reports about Hollywood sign dying in flames is floating on social media. At the same time, there are also rumors that the pictures in circulation are AI generated.
A couple of users on X clarified that the Hollywood sign is on fire but then, some comments say that these images are fake. A few claimed that the sign is still in tact and the officials are yet to verify the same.
One user wrote: “The Hollywood sign is not on fire, even though a new fire has started. Numerous news accounts and other pages are sharing fake AI-generated images claiming otherwise.”
Already, a state of emergency has been declared in Los Angeles after the wild fire broke out. Five people have been killed and several others are injured in the fire.
