On the occassion of Sankranthi, many filmmakers have come up with fresh updates of their movies. Similarly, the streaming giant has also come up with the announcement of an array of movies, under the tag – Netflix Pandaga.
Throughout the day, the streaming giant gave updates on the films for which they hold the rights for. The combined value of these acquisitions is estimated to exceed ₹1,000 crore.
The highlight of the slate is undoubtedly Pawan Kalyan’s OG. The movie is expected to be a game-changer for Netflix. Alongside it, the platform has secured rights to VD12, directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, as well as Nani’s Hit 3: The Third Case and Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s much-awaited Thandel.
Other notable acquisitions include Ravi Teja’s Mass Jatara, helmed by debutant Bhanu Bhogavarapu, and Anaganaga Oka Raju, a collaboration between Naveen Polishetty and Meenakshi Chowdhury.
Adding to the mix are Nani’s production venture Court, featuring Priyadarshi, and Mad Square, produced by Sithara Entertainments. Siddu Jonnalagadda and Bommarillu Bhaskar’s Jack is another film generating buzz.
As the OTT wars heat up, Netflix’s strategic investments in Tollywood are setting new benchmarks. By securing rights to high-profile films and providing varied content, Netflix is not only meeting but also raising audience expectations.
