Hollywood Movie Set for Historic Re-Release in India

Interstellar is considered one of the greatest films in the cinema world and also one of the finest works of celebrated filmmaker, Christopher Nolan. This sci-fi epic is set for a grand re-release on February 7. On this occasion, Interstellar is witnessing an unprecedented craze in India.

As per the latest sources, Interstellar already made advance bookings worth Rs. 5 crore with over 1 lakh tickets being sold across the country. Interstellar crossed the advance sales of Tummbad, which remains the highest-grosser among re-released films. By crossing the advance sales of Tumbbad, it now has to be seen if Interstellar will also be the highest grosser among re-released films in its full run, beating the likes of Tumbbad (Rs. 30-40 crore), Ghilli (Rs. 30-32 crores) and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (Rs. 26 crores).

However, it seems unlikely because as per the official reports, Interstellar will be run in theatres only for a week (February 7 – February 13). It has to be seen if the makers change their minds after witnessing these mind-boggling sales and extend its theatrical run.

Interstellar features Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, and Michael Caine in main roles. Han Zimmer composed the music for it.
