Nani Facing ‘Copying’ Allegations!

Natural Star Nani’s Hi Nanna is considered one of the super hit films in his career. At a time when his career is at a peak stage, he decided to play a father on the screen and with Hi Nanna, he came closer to the family audiences. Shouryuv made his directorial debut with the film, which was released on December 7th, 2023. Now, a Kannada producer accuses Nani of copying the film.

Kannada producer Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah who produced the super hit Kannada films Avane Srimannarayana, Kirrik Party and others took to Instagram and claimed that Hi Nanna is a copy of his Kannada film Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja, which was released in 2020 during the COVID.

Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah took to Instagram to post the below story.

It may appear that both the films have some common story elements, it is definitely not a copy. The hero falls in love with the heroine in many movies and we have seen some movies where the heroine forgets her past and meets the hero once again. These themes are recurrent in many films over the years.

In Bheemasena Nala Maharaja, the hero meets the heroine at a resort to tell his love story. There is a kid in the story. Similarly, the hero in Hi Nanna also narrates a story to heroine in a different setup. But, calling it a copy and going a step ahead to say that Nani did a cheap thing is definitely uncalled for.
