The Movie Court Made Me A Winner: Nani

Court is proving to be one of the biggest successes among small-budget films. The movie raked in 8.10 crore on its opening day, with expectations for an even stronger second day. A success event for the film was held today.

Priyadarshi shared his initial uncertainty about the kind of roles he should pursue after Balagam became a massive hit. “I was also questioning the purpose of my life. But when Jagadeesh approached me with the story, I felt an instant connection. Court wouldn’t have happened without Nani’s support. I really hope Roshan and Sridevi retain the purity they possess. It’s a quality I saw in Nani. It’s truly remarkable because the entire film was shot and released in just six months.”

Nani, reflecting on the film’s success, said, “I believed in two things—one is the script, and the other is the audience. While the script led my team to victory, it was the audience that made Telugu cinema shine. I’m overwhelmed with love on social media and everywhere I go. People are saying I made Court a win, but really, Court made me a winner. I’m extremely proud of this team and I’m thankful to the audience for embracing the film.”

Nani also spoke about his early confidence in Jagadeesh’s vision, stating, “I saw the spark in Jagadeesh when he first pitched the story to me. I’m thrilled to hear people call this Shivaji’s comeback, and I hope he will land even bigger roles than Mangapathi. Harsh and Sridevi are my responsibility, and I’m immensely proud of both of them. We could all relate to the love story. Delivering a powerful impact through a grounded performance is the most challenging task for any actor. Darshi, with his understated yet powerful performance, is like Naseeruddin Shah in Telugu cinema- he has a unique style.”

Nani also expressed his excitement at the possibility of a sequel to Court. He mentioned that if the story allows, it could have a Pan-India reach.
