The iconic 1991 science fiction film Aditya 369, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna in a dual role, is all set to make a grand comeback on the big screen.

Directed by the visionary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced under the banner of Sridevi Movies, the film has been digitally remastered in 4K resolution with upgraded 5.1 sound quality.

The re-release, scheduled for April 11th, promises to bring the timeless classic to a new generation of audiences while delighting longtime fans.

Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad has said that the film has been meticulously restored over six months by a digital team at Prasad Laboratories. “It’s a proud moment for us to present this masterpiece in its enhanced form,” the producer said. He also paid tribute to the late SP Balasubrahmanyam, his uncle who presented the film, and praised Nandamuri Balakrishna for his unforgettable dual roles as Sri Krishnadevaraya and Krishna Kumar. The senior producer highlighted the film’s groundbreaking concept and execution, crediting Singeetam Srinivasa Rao’s imaginative prowess.

Amrish Puri and Tinnu Anand are among the film’s most important artists. Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja and cinematographers PC Sreeram, VSR Swamy, and Kabir Lal nailed it with their output. “This film made our production house, Sridevi Movies, a name to be remembered in the history of Telugu cinema. With back-to-back successes, Balayya Babu has been thrilling the current generation of audiences, and Aditya 369 will be a sweet continuation of that trend,” producer Krishna Prasad added.
