The long-standing tensions within the Manchu family may have slowed down, but the latest developments in Tollywood suggest that a new box office rivalry might evolve. If the reports are believed to be true, Vishnu’s Kannappa and Manoj’s Bhairavam might hit the screens on the same day.
Vishnu’s ambitious project Kannappa was made with a budget of around ₹100 crores. The film feature Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal, is set for an April 25 release. Meanwhile, Manoj, who has been away from films for years due to personal reasons, has also been working on Bhairavam, the remake of Tamil film Garudan. The film was initially expected to release last December but faced multiple delays.
Now, reports suggest that Bhairavam might hit theaters on the same date as Kannappa. It would lead to speculation about an unexpected clash between the Manchu brothers. Manoj’s recent statement at an Ugadi event, where he confirmed that Bhairavam will release “at the right time,” has only fueled these rumors further.
If both films do release on April 25, it could create an interesting situation at the box office. While there’s no official confirmation of any rivalry between the brothers regarding the release dates, fans and industry insiders are keenly watching how this unfolds.
