We often think that big celebrities and film stars have a carefree life, free from financial worries. However, Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran recently surprised everyone by revealing that he also has EMIs to pay and is currently paying his car EMI every month.
Sharing some interesting details of his lifestyle, he opened up about his decision to become a director, calling it a foolish one. Prithviraj admitted that while he could have earned more as a director, he spent more time on the craft and missed several acting opportunities. He acknowledged this as a late realization.
When asked if he chose films purely for monetary benefits, Prithviraj shared that he did ad commercials for the money. “Since it requires less time and pays more, I did some ad commercials. However, I made sure to endorse brands that I truly believe in. I never endorsed something I was unsure of,” he said.
Prithviraj made it clear that he also faces financial challenges like everyone else and is working to clear his car loan. The actor-director is currently busy promoting his directorial project, L2E: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal in the lead role.
The film is set to release on the 28th of this month.
