Robinhood Ticket Hikes: Mythri Issues Official Clarification!

The government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been very lenient towards the Telugu film industry. Subsequently, the makers of new films are able to easily secure ticket price hikes for their films.

In this context, the same was reported about upcoming film Robinhood. It was reported that the film has gone for nominal ticket price hikes of Rs 50 in single screens and Rs 75 in multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh.

Shortly after, negative feedback engulfed on this as people felt it wasn’t a smart move from the makers to go for hikes, considering that Robinhood isn’t a big event spectacle film and hence, going for hikes isn’t justified.

However, the makers have clarified on this matter now as they have made it clear that they are not imposing hiked prices all over, but instead confined these hikes to select few premium locations in Andhra Pradesh.

“There are unverified reports & news that Robinhood will have hiked prices in theatres. All these are completely baseless. Our intention with the film is to give wholesome entertainment at affordable prices.

The hikes are only applicable at a few select premium locations in Andhra Pradesh. The rest of Andhra Pradesh and total Telangana will have normal prices at all centres. Enjoy Robinhood at your nearest theatres and get entertained to the fullest.” The communication read.

This instates that the film is going for hikes in only select few locations in AP. This further clarify that the film will be releasing with standard ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and there is nothing to worry about. It is good that the makers clarified on this issue before it spiralled further.
