How To Unsee Tillu From Siddhu Jonnalagadda?

When a young actor delivers a hit, it boosts his confidence—and that’s a good thing. Two back-to-back hits can take that confidence even higher. But assuming that the audience will watch any film just because the actor’s last one was a hit? That’s where it starts to go wrong. It just happened in the case of Siddhu Jonnalagadda now, for his latest film Jack.

Jack tried to present itself as a comedy-action entertainer, but ends up confused about its own tone. The hero’s characterization is weak, and the movie feels like it’s been made by someone trying to imitate Bhaskar, not by its actual director, Bommarillu Bhaskar.

Director Bhaskar seems to have given Sidhu too much creative freedom, which backfired. Sidhu doesn’t fully become Jack—instead, he slips into his familiar DJ Tillu zone. The attitude, the dialogue delivery, even the body language all feel recycled from DJ Tillu and Tillu Square. Unfortunately, the audience walked in expecting something fresh, not a half-hearted remix of an old favorite under a new name.

The fans are also expecting something new from Siddhu this time. They want to unsee Tillu from Siddhu Jonnalagadda. It is all up to him to present himself in a new character, free from the strings of Tillu. He will next be seen in Telusu Kada, directed by Neeraja Kona. We have to see if Siddhu can bounce back in career.
