The film industry doesn’t depend only on star-hero films but also needs hits from young heroes regularly to have a prosperous business throughout the year. However, the first quarter of 2025 turned out to be a disastrous season for Tollywood’s young heroes with mid-range stardom, as none of their movies managed to do well at the box office.
Vishwak Sen came up with Laila on February 14, which turned out to be the biggest disaster in his career. The actor has been struggling to score a success for the last few years, and Laila made his situation worse this year.
Another promising young hero, Sundeep Kishan, came up with Mazaka in the same month. Even Sundeep was aiming to score a big hit for a long time, but was unable to do so. He pinned a lot of hopes on Mazaka, but even this movie turned out to be a box-office dud.
In March, Kiran Abbavaram came up with Dilruba. After scoring a success with Ka, Kiran aimed to continue his hit streak with this film. However, it ended up as a colossal flop.
In the same month, Nithiin’s Robinhood also hit the theatres but couldn’t become a hit resulting in another disappointment for the actor.
In April, Siddhu Jonnalagadda arrived with Jack. As it was his immediate film after DJ Tillu and Tillu Square, there were many expectations around it. But right from the teaser and trailer, the film couldn’t generate any positive buzz and also garnered negative reviews after its release. As a result, it ended up as a massive flop in Siddhu’s career.
