After ‘Acharya’ Megastar Chiranjeevi will be doing the Telugu remake of Malayalam movie ‘Lucifer.’ For this film, initially ‘Saaho’ director Sujeeth was given the chance to direct. But he was placed by Chiru’s favourite director VV Vinayak. As soon as he was brought on board, the mega camp got excited.
The latest development is that Vinayak is out of the project. Apparently Chiru is not satisfied with the changes made by Vinayak and so the director was shown the exit doors. The buzz is that director Harish Shankar is approached to helm this remake.
Harish is a master in adapting the remakes like he did so for ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh.’ But it all depends on how Harish Shankar handles the Lucifer script to suit the taste of Telugu audiences.
Yet there is one more hurdle here. Harish Shankar has a film with Pawan Kalyan and once PK wraps up ‘Vakeel Saab,’ he would move to Krish Jagarlamudi’s film. But as Krish is known to make films in quick succession, Pawan would get free in no time. So here Harish Shankar needs Pawan’s approval to do Chiru’s film first and then work on #PSPK28.
So the things are in the discussion stages and once a solution is found, the rest would fall in place.
