The most eagerly awaited announcement on Prabhas’ maiden Bollywood project ‘Adipurush’ has arrived and it’s indeed a big one. The film’s release date has been zeroed in on and it’s August 11, 2022.
Going by the latest announcement, it’s clear that Adipurush’s team has decided to postpone the film by a year. When the project was announced a few months ago, it was said that the film will be going on floors in January next year and that the theatrical release will be in mid 2021.
Until recently, there have been speculations about how Adipurush’s director Om Raut had planned to wrap up the entire shoot in just 3 months, by using green screens. However, it seems there’s a change of plans and the makers will be taking it easy with the completion of this ambitious movie.
While Prabhas plays Lord Shri Ram, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan essays the demon king Lankesh (Raavan) in this 3D mythological epic. The name of the actress who will play goddess Sita is still a surprise. Prabhas is currently in Mumbai, holding discussions with Om Raut regarding the project and his role.
