The success of Mahanati set the ball rolling for biopics in a big way and in last couple of years, Tollywood had a slew of biopics. There’s another biopic in the pre-production stages and the name of the legend is not that popular. Thus, director wants to tell the story of the true hero- Uma Preman.
Uma Preman received several awards including Real Hero Award from President Of India for her social service. Uma Preman, who runs a charity that offers medical information as well as financial and moral support to patients suffering from life-threatening medical conditions in India, believes in practising what she preaches. She even donated her own kidney to save a patient’s life.
A director named Vigneswaran Vijayan will be making biopic of Uma Preman and he’s in search of a known artist to play the role. This will be made in various languages and more details will be disclosed later.
