While theatres in Telangana are opened and running, Andhra Pradesh announced a special package to take care of theatres. All said and done, Box Office needs oxygen now and that is not happening right now. Experts say that it is in the hands of these upcoming films to set the BO straight.
Though A-centre crowds are rushing to watch films like Tenet in theatres and catching up with some re-releases as well, B & C centres are not seeing a similar footfall due to lack of proper movies. The advance bookings of Wonder Woman 1984 are quite good (Dec 24 release) in metros like Hyderabad, but there is no buzz in other centres. And here comes the two Telugu films that should help the box office revive in this Covid-19 season.
Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better is hitting cinemas on Dec 25th, while Raviteja and Shruti Haasan’s Krack is gonna crack up on Jan 14th in theatres. Only if these two films click and succeed to grab eyeballs as well as tickets in a huge way, the box office will get back the previous glory. All the industry folks are hoping that these two heroes will surely show them a way.
On the other hand, if the film of biggies like Chiranjeevi, Balayya or Pawan Kalyan finds its way into theatres soon, then that will help set the box office in totality. However, the arrival of Covid-19 vaccine will also play a major role here.
