Ram Pothineni’s RED is all set for Sankranthi release. The film is expected to have a direct clash with Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan-starrer Krack. While Krack is scheduled for release on Jan 15th, the makers of Ram’s RED are likely to lock Jan 14th as the release date. Both the films are expected to clash and test their luck at the ticket windows.
Interestingly, both these films seem to have Tamil origin. While RED is an official remake of Thadam, it is strongly rumoured that Ravi Teja and Gopichand’s film Krack has shades of Tamil action thriller Sethupathi. Although Gopichand had denied the rumours, the trailer of Krack indicates it has similarities with Sethupathi.
With this, it is interesting to watch out for these films to see which one strikes hard with audiences. As Ram’s last film iSmart Shankar did well at the Box Office thanks to appreciations from masses, Ram is hoping that it would help draw crowds for the RED in theatres. On the other hand, Krack is also carrying good buzz as it’s promos are appealing.
While Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuku So Better will mark the theatrical release of feature films, it will also be a litmus test as that decides the fate of upcoming films. On the whole, producers are keeping their fingers crossed about the result of these 3 films.
