Ever since producer Ashwini Dutt spoke about this film on the eve of the film’s 30 years completion recently, it has been doing rounds in Tollywood that a sequel to Megastar Chiranjeevi’s iconic film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari is coming. This is not the first time we heard this news, but then, even this time, this is just an idea but nothing else.
Apparently, when a media house quizzed about the plans of doing a sequel to this iconic movie, Dutt said, “I will be retiring from films only after making a sequel to Jagadekaveerudu Athiloksundari. That will be my last film”. Well, that means the film is yet to materialize due to various factors including that of story, script, budgets and actors.
The only thing we could assume is, Ram Charan will be starring in the lead role of Raju no matter what, but the rest of the story and setup will be changing. While there is no guarantee that Jhanvi Kapoor, daughter of Sridevi will play the female lead, some new heroine might be doing it. Anyway, for now, this is just an idea, but nothing concrete is there yet.
Ram Charan is currently busy with #RRR and the likes of Vamsi Paidipally, Gautham Tinnanuri, Anil Ravipudi and other directors are eagerly waiting for him to give nod to their films. Meanwhile, he will be doing a cameo in Megastar and Koratala’s Acharya .
