Ram Pothineni teamed up with director Kishore Tirumala for the third time. Titled Red, the film in their combination is hitting the screens for this Sankranthi. Earlier, the actor-director duo worked on the films Nenu Sailaja and Vunnadi Okati Zindagi. Compared to the earlier films, RED is going to be a different project for both Ram and Kishore. Touted to be an action thriller, the film features Nivetha Pethuraj and Malavika Sharma as the heroines. Malavika Sharma made her debut with Nela Ticket but she could not impress the audiences. In RED, she is the main glamour attraction.
The film unit launched the video glimpse of a romantic song Nuvve Nuvve. The song was picturized on Ram and Malavika. The song was shot in a foreign country where the lead actors engage in subtle romance. The icing on the cake in the video glimpse is a kissing scene between the leads. Liplock scenes are very rare in Telugu cinema. Jagadam and iSmart Shankar carried liplock scenes but it is very intense in RED. It was shown in the end of the video glimpse.
Looking at the way it was placed, the film unit is implementing a clever strategy to turn the attention of everyone on to the film. Ram’s chemistry with Malavika also looks appealing in the video glimpse. The film was supposed to hit the screens before the lockdown and the film unit declined a lot of deals from the streaming platforms.
RED is the official remake of Tamil film Thadam and the makers made a lot of changes to the original. Keep watching the space for more details of the film.
