On Republic Day, the celebrities in the cinema posted their wishes on social media with different messages and pictures. Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra took this occasion as an opportunity to give a message to all her fans and followers about an important moment from history. Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect and the actress wrote about the women who took part in drafting the Constitution.
Posting a series of pictures, Priyanka wrote her Republic Day wishes with an interesting piece of information.
“I’ve been researching and reading a lot about women in governance across the world and how their skills have impacted communities and countries. It’s been enlightening, fascinating and so insightful to understand the importance of women in leadership.” wrote Priyanka Chopra, adding, “I’d like to share an interesting piece of information I came across recently and today seems to be the perfect day to post about what I learned.”
Priyanka also wrote about 15 women who took part in the first Constituent Assembly for India. “Did you know that there were 15 women in the first Constituent Assembly of India and that they helped draft the Constitution of India? So inspiring and also an apt day to celebrate the effort of all those who helped build the fundamental principles of India. Happy Republic Day” wrote the actress.

On the work front, Priyanka’s latest release ‘The White Tiger’ is currently streaming on Netflix. The actress completed the shoot for her next Hollywood film, Text For You. The release date of the same will be announced soon.
