All the silence and enigma from last year in the film industry are completely wiped out this year. More than 28 movies announced their release date in just two weeks. While there are films that are clashing on the same release date, many anticipate that these filmmakers adjust the dates to avoid losses at a later point. But one massive clash is most likely to happen and this horn locking is intriguing to watch.
Raviteja, who had been riding high with the super success of Krack announced his next movie Khiladi release date as May 28. Interestingly, another mass actor Balakrishna’s untitled movie in Boyapati’s direction #BB3 announced the same release date. Movie buffs knew it very well that this release clash between these two mass stars is not new.
Raviteja and Balakrishna landed their respective movies on release date three times earlier. Back in 2008 for Sankranthi, Balakrishna’s ‘Okka Magadu’ in YVS Chowdary’s direction was released and declared a debacle right on day one. Raviteja’s ‘Krishna’ in VV Vinayak’s direction released a day later and ended up as one of the biggest hits for the actor.
In 2009, Balakrishna’s came up with Mithrudu on May 1st and Raviteja released his Kick a week later. Mithrudu attracted all the flop talk and could not recover, while Kick remained one of the best movies of Raviteja with an unexpectedly huge money-spinner.
In 2011, Balakrishna targeted Sankaranthi with ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ in Dasari’s direction but fell flat with a pointless and ridiculous movie. Raviteja spiced the same day with his Mirapakay in Harish Shankar’s direction and the movie ended up as a blockbuster. Balakrishna Sri Rama Rajyam and Raviteja’s Veera films failed commercially in 2013 declaring no movie as a winner.
Raviteja took over every release clash with Balakrishna previously. In the fifth encounter, Balakrishna fans are hopeful with the director combination which yielded two massive hits for the star, though Boyapati’s last film Vinaya Vidheya Rama was pathetic and a big disaster. On the other side, Raviteja is also super excited with his Khiladi directed by Ramesh Verma.
We will have to wait for the day to come and see who has the last laugh in the fifth clash. Needless to say, the month of May has two other big releases Acharya and Narappa, just two weeks before these two mass stars battle day.
