The other day pop singer Rihanna and climate activist Greta have tweeted in support of the Indian farmers who are protesting for the last two months against the Farm Bills. Their tweets have created a storm and it was kind of an eye opener.
Out of nowhere, many Indian celebrities have taken on Rihanna and Greta. From Kangana Ranaut to even the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and others have taken to social media and added that this (farmers’ protest) is India’s internal matter and has the ability to resolve it. This was surprising and it garnered mixed opinion on social media and from all corners.
But it seems one person has commented diplomatically and took an indirect dig at celebs who tweeted on #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. She is Taapsee who is known for her intellectual talk and opinion.
“If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it’s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become ‘propaganda teacher’ for others,” tweeted Taapsee.
The ‘PINK’ actress was clear enough in her comments that celebs should introspect before making remarks on sensitive issues.
