Star actress Trisha Krishnan was supposed to romance Megastar Chiranjeevi in Acharya. Due to creative differences with the team, the actress walked out of the project. However, the speculations are rife that Trisha is in talks for Chiranjeevi’s Lucifer remake which is being made under Mohan Raja’s direction. The film unit made changes to the script and reportedly added a love interest to Chiranjeevi’s character.
Mohan Raja earlier worked with Trisha in the Tamil film Unakkum Enakkum, an official remake of Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana. Even Chiranjeevi shared the screen with Trisha in Stalin. Trisha is looking to be a part of a Telugu commercial cinema for a long time now. It’s been almost five years since Trisha did a film in Telugu. Her last film was Nayaki, that released way back in 2016.
Chiranjeevi and Trisha acted in Stalin. After 15 years of long gap, Chiru is interested to act with Trisha again. He also insisted on the team to finalize the talks with the actress and get her on board. Trisha is currently busy shooting for her next Tamil film Ponniyin Selvan, in Mani Ratnam’s direction.
When she came out of Acharya, Trisha wrote, “my lovely Telugu audiences-hope to see you soon in an exciting project,” and we hope that this could be the exciting project that she marks her comeback in Telugu cinema. An official confirmation on the same will come out soon.
