The controversy between Krack director Gopichand Malineni and producer Tagore Madhu over the director’s remuneration has been a hot topic in Telugu film circles for the past few days. As director Gopichand lodged a formal complaint with the Directors Association that the film’s producer owes him Rs 12 lakh and asked them to resolve the issue, Directors Association has moved the Producers Council over the issue.
Now Producers Council secretary Prasanna Kumar has sought explanation of producer Madhu on the issue. The Producers Council has formed a committee under KL Narayana to resolve the Krack issue amicably.
Responding to the issue, Krack producer Tagore Madhu said that the issue came out due to “miscommunication”. He said he has produced Krack with great difficulty. He explained how the film’s budget shot up due to delay in the film owing to Covid-19 pandemic.
Producer Madhu said he would soon talk to the appointed committee and would cooperate with the committee to resolve the issue. He expressed faith and confidence in the committee. Madhu said he can’t talk on the issue right now for some reasons. He said he will explain it later when appropriate time comes.
