Krithi Shetty is making her debut with Uppena that also marks debut of hero Vaishnav Tej and director Buchi Babu Sana. Interim, the actress who is busy promoting Uppena made some interesting revelations about the film releasing on 12th of this month.
How did you get the offer in Uppena?
I was doing TV Commercials and Buchi Babu saw me somewhere and he messaged me whether I had interest in acting. I first thought of listening to the story. But, I couldn’t say no as the story was excellent with so many emotions and the love story was pure.
How close was the role in the film to your real character?
The character is not that close to my personal life because the story is set in 2002. The things were somehow different then. However, I’ve connected with the character and the bubbliness.
How was the working experience with Vaishnav Tej?
Vaishnav Tej is a good actor. He uplifts the other actor which is a very good quality. I learnt a lot from him.
What’s your favorite song?
I love both Nee Kannu and Jala Jala Jalapaatham songs. Devi Sri Prasad took the film to next level with his music.
Did you watch any Telugu films before?
I use to watch dubbing films of all languages. I seriously didn’t know whether I was watching a Telugu or a Tamil film.
What difference did you find in doing ads and films?
I was overwhelmed with the respect that I got here. However, while I was doing ads in Mumbai, I didn’t get such respect. I was really surprised the way I was taken care here.
You have already signed few films, before the release of Uppena. You want to do films consecutively?
I actually thought of waiting till the release of Uppena. Since I got good offers, I signed few of them.
