Even though centre has given permission to migrant labourers to travel to their respective homes, few state governments are still not allowing them to come back. During this time, actor Sonu Sood has come to the rescue of several labourers who are stranded in Mumbai & Gulbarga.
The actor proved his generosity again by arranging 10 buses for migrants to reach their homes from Maharashtra and Karnataka. After taking all the necessary permissions, Sonu Sood has hired private buses to send the migrants from Thane in Maharashtra and Gulbarga in Karnataka. Before these buses started, the actor arrived at Thane bus stop to bid an adieu to passengers who thanked him for the great help.
The actor strongly feels that every Indian should spend time with their family and loved ones during this crisis to be able to fight against the pandemic. “I have taken necessary permissions from Maharashtra and Karnataka governments to send the migrants back. I was totally moved after looking at children and elderly people suffer on roads and streets in Mumbai due to lockdown. Not just in two states, but I am ready to help people struck in other states as well,” – said Sonu Sood who is receiving praises from the netizens.
Recently, the actor arranged some 1500 PPE kits to doctors in Punjab and he also offered his hotel in Juhu to host doctors, police personnel, sanitation workers and other frontline workers of Covid-19. Way to go Sonu!
