Bollywood is busy making mythology dramas. Director Om has already started working on Adipurush, with Prabhas, where the actor plays Lord Sriram.
Producer Madhu Mantena Varma is gearing up to begin another project based on Ramayana. With a budget of 300 Cr, the producer is planning to get actors from South and North to play the lead roles in the film. The sources from Bollywood reveal that Superstar Mahesh Babu is in talks to play Lord Sriram in the movie.
Mahesh is in consideration for the lead role in the film while Hrithik Roshan is in talks for Ravana’s character. Deepika Padukone is in talks to play the Sitadevi character in the prestigious project. The pre-production and casting works are currently underway.
The reports in Bollywood reveal that Madhu has approached Mahesh Babu with the script already. The producer felt that the innocence and charm of Mahesh can fit him in Lord Sriram’s role. Through the KWAN talent agency, the producer approached Mahesh Babu with the script. Mahesh is reportedly said to have liked the script but he has not given his decision yet.
If Mahesh signs the dotted line, it will mark his debut in the Bollywood film industry. The complete details of the film will come out soon.
