Shruti Haasan Reacts On Her ‘Controversial’ Tweet

Actress Shruti Haasan is debuting in Kannada film industry (Sandalwood) with ‘Salaar.’ This mega budget film starring Prabhas is being directed by Prashanth Neel of ‘KGF’ fame. However, ever since the film’s announcement, Kannadigas are not impressed. Firstly they criticised director Prashanth and now Shruti Haasan has become the target.

Well going into details, about four years back Shruti made a controversial tweet on Sandalwood that she doesn’t like the film industry and she let go of many projects. Netizens are digging this old tweet of Shruti and are trolling her.

Reacting to this, Shruti issued a clarification. “My comments were misunderstood and I would like to clear that I have immense respect towards every actor, director and producer of Kannada film industry.”

On ‘Salaar’ Shruti expressed extreme happiness to be part of the film. “I liked the script and my role and so immediately gave a nod for this film when I was contacted. I’m glad that I’m making my Kannada debut with ‘Salaar.’ This is an incredible team,” said Shruti.

Hope the issue is now settled and netizens would show some mercy on Shruti Haasan.
