If you name ten evergreen actresses of Indian Cinema, there will be the mention of Sridevi in it. Such is the fame she got in a five-decade-old career. Sridevi ruled Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinemas for more than three decades. Today is the third death anniversary of this iconic actress and on that note, let us take a recap into her career.
Sridevi had started off her career as a child artist. She made her debut at the age of four years with the 1967 Tamil film Kandhan Karunai. She then went on to act in many Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films as a child artist. She then made her debut as a lead actress with the 1976 Tamil film Moondru Mudichu. In Telugu, she shot to fame as a heroine with the 1978 film Padaharella Vayasu. After that, there was no looking back for her.
She acted alongside all the top stars of Telugu cinema, like NTR, ANR, Krishna, Sobhan Babu, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna. Her blockbusters in Tollywood include Vetagadu, Karthika Deepam, Premabhishekam, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Kshana Kshanam, Govinda Govinda and many more.
Sridevi shot to fame in Bollywood with films like Himmatwala, Sadma, Chandni, Chaalbaaz, Lamhe, Mr India, English Vinglish and Mom. Sridevi died in 2018 due to cardiac arrest. Even though she is not with us right now, her legacy will live on forever in Indian Cinema.
