Despite the constant appeals and warnings by the authorities to follow road safety rules, the offences are not coming down. What’s unfortunate is that even several celebrities and other known faces are often caught violating the traffic norms.
In a latest incident, Shanmukh Jaswanth of the hit YouTube series ‘Software Developer’ was caught in an inebriated condition after ramming his car into 3 other cars in the busy Jubilee Hills Road No.10 area on Saturday evening. One civilian sustained injuries and three cars were damaged in the mishap.
Soon, passersby blocked Shanmukh’s car and traffic police were called in. Shanmukh’s breath analyser test recorded 170 points, which is way above the limit. Cops arrested the young actor and booked him for drunk driving. A video of a policeman manhandling Shanmukh is doing the rounds on the internet.
Later, Shanmukh interacted with the media and urged them to first ‘talk to him and know the truth’ before filing a complaint and making the news viral. “Has anyone been admitted to hospital with injuries? If it’s money, I’m ready to pay, but let’s just talk first,” Shanmukh was seen saying.
And furious netizens are trolling Shanmukh heavily, by posting memes using his famous dialogue “Arey entra idhi?” Many are demanding the cops to strictly punish the dancer-actor so that others will act more responsibly.
