Saina Nehwal is one of the star badminton players in the country. Bollywood is making a biopic on her life and Parineeti Chopra plays the lead role in the film. Titled Saina, the film’s teaser is out today on the internet. The trailer has all the right feels of a sports drama that’s enough to inspire the viewers.
The film’s teaser begins with Parineeti Chopra addressing various gender roles assigned to sons and daughters in our society. And then, we show her playing the shots on a badminton court. Parineeti did enough research and homework before taking up this role. The actress has got the attire, haircut, and Saina’s facial expressions properly.
The teaser also indicated that the film captures the highs and lows of Saina Nehwal’s life.
Manav Kaul will be seen essaying the role of Pullela Gopichand, Saina’s coach. Gulshan Kumar & T-Series Films present the film, in association with Front Foot Pictures. Saina is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sujay Jairaj & Rasesh Shah. The biopic, directed by Amole Gupte, starring Parineeti Chopra in and as SAINA, music by Amaal Mallik will release on 26th March 2021.
