Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju alleged that six FIRs were registered against him with the support of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that baseless charges were made against him. He also said that a conspiracy was hatched to prevent him from touring in his constituency.
The YCP rebel MP wrote a letter to his party colleagues in the Parliament seeking moral support to face the situation. He alleged that at the behest of the CM, minister Sriranganatha Raju and the police, with the help of DGP, had foisted cases against him.
The YCP MP said that he had already complained to the Lok Sabha Speaker about the violation of rights and that the Speaker’s office had ordered the home ministry for an inquiry into the issue. The Speaker’s office also asked the home ministry officials to submit a comprehensive report following my complaint, he claimed.
He opposed the ruling YCP on various issues like sale of TTD lands, shifting of Amaravati and others even while belonging to the party and since then, Jagan had been disliking Raju. The MP said that cases were registered against him without even conducting preliminary inquiry into the allegations.
He complained to the Speaker that the YCP men were conspiring to get him arrested by registering false cases against him. On March 1, RRR met Speaker Om Birla and submitted his complaint following which the Lok Sabha Speaker’s secretariat forwarded the papers to the home ministry officials and asked for submission of a factual note within 15 days.
The copies of the complaint were sent to the MP and Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Adityanath Das.
