During the times of lockdown that was imposed due to the cv1 outbreak, there is no way theatres could be opened. That is impacting small-budgeted films a lot and those films that are already released are quickly going to Amazon Prime Video for a release. That way, Telugu audiences got to see movies like Madha, Palasa and Raja Varu Rani Garu.
We are hearing that while Prime Video is promoting Madha movie a lot, they are not promoting the other two films elsewhere. But the producers of those movies are actually promoting them on their own, and many are wondering why any producer will promote them with own money after they sold it off to Amazon Prime Video. The fact is that, these two films, Palasa and Raja Varu Rani Varu are said to have got released on pay-per-view model but not wholly bought by Amazon.
As the lockdown promoted OTT trend a lot, these two movies are said to be making more than a lakh on some days and with that push-up, the producers are making sure to promote them on the web such that they will get more views and subsequently more money. Well, this is another form of success which we must appreciate.
