Telugu girl Sobhita Dhulipala bagged the first Hollywood offer in her career. She will be acting in an upcoming film called Monkey Man, which is being directed by Slumdog Millionaire actor Dev Patel. This is his first directorial project.
Monkey Man will be a Netflix original film and will premiere on the platform next year. Speaking about the film in a recent interview, Sobhita said that she had auditioned for the role almost five years ago and got a call back within a few days to do a screen test. Sobhita stated that she really enjoyed playing this role which is glamorous yet sorrowful.
Dev Patel co-wrote this film Paul Angunawela & John Collee. The film is about a man who comes out from the prison and sets out to take revenge on people who took everything from him. The film is set in Mumbai. Sobhita shot to fame with films like Raman Raghav 2.0, Ghost Stories and the web series Made in Heaven. She also featured in the Telugu film Goodachari.
