How did Chaavu Kaburu Challaga materialize?
I first received a call from Geetha Arts and that left me very excited. It is a renowned banner which has delivered career-biggest hits for many heroes and I hope it happens the same with me now. But more than anything, Koushik’s script excited me more than anything and I felt I should definitely be a part of the project.
Tell us about your character?
I play a hoarse driver in the film and I absolutely love the characterisation. He falls in love with a lady while attending her husband’s funeral and that pretty much sums up the peculiar nature of the character. This role is very special and will stand out in my career. In fact, every character in the film is author-backed and Koushik’s maturity at such a a young age is admirable.
How was it to pair with Lavanya?
I watched Lavanya’s Andala Rakshasi while I was in college and now, I am acting with her and that is a blissful experience. I am really glad that she agreed to act in the film.
Was playing the male lead in Chaavu Kaburu Challaga a challenging experience?
I submitted to the director Koushik and he explained me a lot about the character. This is the first time I am using a particular dialect and that is something new for me as an actor.
Tell us about your future projects?
I am playing antagonist in Ajith’s Vaalmai. I will also be working with Ajay Bhupathi sooner or later.
