Veteran Tamil actor Karthik was reportedly admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after he complained of breathlessness on Saturday evening. As per the latest media reports, Karthik is currently in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Fortis Malar Hospital in Chennai’s Adyar.
A team of doctors are said to be monitoring Karthik’s health but so far no official statement is issued either by Karthik’s family or the hospital management. As a precaution, the hospital has conducted Covid-19 test and the relieving thing is he tested negative.
Learning about this, several Kollywood celebrities have contacted Karthik’s family and asked for status. A picture of Karthik from the hospital bed is getting circulated on social media and fans are wishing for his speedy recovery.
Besides cinema, Karthik is also active in politics. Until Saturday he was campaigning for the Assembly elections on behalf of AIADMK and BJP coalition.
