Power Star Pawan Kalyan is making his comeback after a gap of more than three years with his latest film Vakeel Saab. The courtroom drama is all set to hit the screens on April 9. The makers are planning for a huge release as there is a lot of craze for the movie. Already, they planned an outdoor pre-release event but the officials denied the permission. The trailer launch itself caught the attention of national media. With the film’s release, the film unit aims to make noise all over the country. Meanwhile, there are quite a few hiccups that are worrying the producers a bit.
Initially, the team has planned to hold a benefit and early morning shows across the Telugu states. There were plans to hold five shows a day as well. There is no doubt that people will throng to the theatres if these shows get confirmed. But the rise in COVID-19 cases is not allowing the government to permit the makers and theatres to hold these additional shows. As per the latest update, there will not be any special shows across Telugu states. With these additional shows, if there’s any rise in the cases of Corona, the government will be pushed to implement restrictions on seating once again, in theatres. The government, thus, is expressing an opinion to not risk and welcome criticism.
Already, Tollywood revived the theatrical business successfully. When compared to other film industries, Tollywood is glowing with back-to-back releases. It will be nice if Vakeel Saab brings back the glory of benefit shows but this time, it is not so easy. Vakeel Saab would have got humongous openings if these shows got permission. But now, it looks like a tough task for the makers to hold those shows. We have to see if the situation turns around in the coming days.
Directed by Venu Sriram, Vakeel Saab features Ananya Nagalla, Nivetha Thomas, and Anjali in the other lead roles. Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor are producing the film jointly.
